Country:Argentina
Opened:1959

The Autódromo Parque Ciudad de Río Cuarto is located 2.5 km to the south of the city of Río Cuarto in Córdoba in the centre of Argentina.

A popular circuit amongst drivers, the current circuit opened in 1959, but its origins go further back. In 1923, the Río Cuarto Automobile Association Club was founded, which organised a race on the streets of the city.

17 years later, in 1940, the Automobile Club of Río Cuarto was formed, which under the Presidency of Carlos Daverio went on to purchase the land to build a permanent circuit.

The permanent circuit opened in 1959, with a 3.3 km layout which remains to this day as the most common configuration.

In 2004, an additional extension to the west was added for the Turismo Carretera series, taking the total full circuit length to just over 4 km. However, in recent years this has seldom been used and the surface has deteriorated compared to the rest of the circuit.

In 2022, parts of the circuit were resurfaced with the ambition of again attracting the country’s top series back to the longer variation, with Turismo Carretera having last visited in 2012 and TC2000 in 2020.
